Geographical Economics
jüngere Modellansätze der Volkswirtschaftslehre, welche die Integration von  Außenhandelstheorie und  Standorttheorie anstreben. Im Mittelpunkt steht die Beschreibung und Erklärung von räumlichen Ballungen und Ungleichheiten. Anders als die  relationale Wirtschaftsgeographie vollziehen die G.E. keinen Paradigmenwechsel gegenüber der traditionellen Standorttheorie, sondern stellen eher eine Erweiterung der  Raumwirtschaftslehre dar.
